10/10/10, Rocky Point style!

I have been so eager to get this wedding done and blogged, that I am sitting here with a fever writing this post! Been working on it a bit each day since the wedding. Here are about 40+ shots, out of over 1300 from the wedding day (not including 'trash the dress' the next day.) This wedding was 2 weeks ago, on 10/10/10. Stephanie and Shea were such great hosts, inviting me to Rocky Point to shoot their wedding. I was so excited to shoot this wedding, because my favorite place in the whole wide world is the beach!!! It became more so than that-- Stephanie and Shea are so sweet and so caring about everyone, it was just a fabulous few days. And as you will see in the photos, this crew knows how to PARTY! After viewing this wedding, make sure to see the previous post with their beach 'trash the dress' shoot from 10/11/10.

On a technical note, I do have to say that shooting on the beach is very difficult. Of course there is the sand to worry about (ONE piece of sand can cause hundreds and hundreds of dollars of camera damage.) Same goes for salt water (or any water), one drop can damage a camera big time. The biggest obstacle is the sun. It is soooo bright out, and there is zero shade on the beach for the most part. Too much sun limits what you and your camera can accomplish, especially mid afternoon. I believe I conquered these challenges, even the sun.

Enjoy!

This next one is my favorite of Steph; she's gorgeous!

My husband took this next shot -- he was second shooter during the ceremony. Thanks honey!!!

If you could only see the 'before Photoshop' of this image-- I had to lengthen all the guys shirts but one!

Stephanie cried here and there, she was happy, just overwhelmed with emotion.

Tequila shots...one of many!
I can't explain it, but I LOVE the following shot!

I will have to ask about the story behind this mask...

  2. Tracy you rock. What a great job you did. I love the dress hanging with ocean in the background and the bride on the balacony with the ocean behind her.
