Rachel and Corey Tie the Knot!

On April 8th, it was a warm and sunny day. On April 9th it was rainy for the first part of the day, and freezing cold. In the early afternoon the rain stopped and some blue skies came out. So Rachel decided to go for it-- to have her wedding outdoors at Phoenix Country Club like she had so wanted. Robert, the Senior Manager at Phx CC, was so great about everything. They were prepped for an indoor ceremony as well as outdoor. It was so nice out, a little chilly, but beautiful. 5 minutes in to the ceremony, the wind kicked up and it began to rain! They sped up the ceremony and we all ran in doors! Rachel and Corey were so calm about it and still enjoyed their day. Many people would be bummed out, but they just laughed and thought it made their day unique. It was unique, for it was the shortest ceremony I have ever done in 18 years! Congratulations to Rachel and Corey!

Rachel got ready in the beautiful locker rooms at Phoenix CC. I couldn't resist shooting the bouquet in the natural surroundings with the towels...

Each button had to be latched thru its loop.

I can't tell you how I made Rachel laugh here-- but she is extra gorgeous when she lights up with a laugh!

Told you, blue skies up until 5:00ish. Ceremony time, 5pm.

Couldn't decide which shot I liked best of Rachel-- loved them all!

See the storm clouds brewing?

Never had a groom this determined to breaking the glass. Corey wasn't messing around!

LOVE this shot...her veil was flying from the wind. It was raining and we were all laughing with Mother Nature.

'We want a shot with a few of our friends.' Always ask how many friends before gathering them Tracy!

Me and bridal party, being silly...

She looks like she is right out of a magazine in this next one...

Don't mess with Corey...this shot shows off his hot and tough look!

See the rain on the ground in the following shot? I wasn't lying about rain, we had plenty that day!

Corey spinning mom on dancefloor.

"Up!"

Daddy and his little girl.

Crazy fun dancefloor with the groom in the middle of the action. Tunes by Ray The DJ.

Love this shot, they looked perfect like hand models while cutting the cake.

Why Vendors Charge What They Charge

Brides,
Please check out this article. A fellow florist posted it on Facebook, and I think it is very informative about why wedding vendors charge what they charge. I was thinking of writing an article about this topic, but since this one pretty much says what I would say, here it is: What Brides Are Really Paying For... It is written by Pink Lady Krista Chapman for ThePinkBook.com out of East Tennessee.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call me, 602-369-5431 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 602-369-5431 end_of_the_skype_highlighting

Thanks!

Mike and Kamila

Mike and Kamila wed on March 25th, 2011 at Red Mountain Ranch Country Club. It was a bright and sunny Friday, the perfect day. The wind cooled things off right before we were to go inside, so it was good that we did most of the formals before the ceremony. Andrew was my assistant/2nd shooter, and he took on task of shooting the guys formals, which was great because there just wasn't time for me to personally do it. I know his work, so knew they were in good hands! I have so many favorites from this one, I finally narrowed it down to 33. I did Mike and Kamila's engagement shoot too. These two don't realize how much the camera loves them! Great working with you and your families-- congrats!!

This dress is one of my favorite this season..

I love love this next one-- the wind framed her veil around her perfectly. I shot a ton in this spot, and like them all, but this is the winner!

Our d.j., Infinity Entertainment, not only rocked the house, but brought a ton of costumes for people selected by the bride and groom to wear. It was a bunch of fun for everyone!
