Sammie and Emilio

This is the first part of a three part series of Sammie and Emilio's wedding. This first part takes place at the Boojum Tree in Phoenix, their ceremony and formals. This was over a two hour period on March 11th in the middle of the afternoon. I still have yet to work on their second ceremony and their reception, which happened the next day in the morning and evening.
I enjoyed working with Sammie and Emilio all three times, and can't wait to work the rest of the images (tomorrow and Monday is the plan.)

Andrea and Zack on Mill

This engagement shoot was on March 8th a few days ago. Andrea and Zack are getting married on March 19th. So this was a last minute engagement shoot. They decided they wanted to hang out with me a bit before the wedding and for us to get to know eachother, which is something I always suggest to clients booking me for their wedding. They live within walking distance of Mill Avenue in Tempe by ASU, and they love to hang out on Mill. So Mill Avenue was the perfect spot for their engagement shoot. And we went to their favorite hang out on Mill, Canteen (tequila bar that they say has great tacos too.) They had margaritas, and they treated me to a Corona. We talked, took portraits, took candids, drank, talked, and took more photos. It was one of the best engagement shoots I have ever done. Here are 30 of the 100+ images. Good times!

This next one is them in front of their condominium buildings.

They were so cute together, cuddley and happy!

And funny!

I swear that I did NOT tell Andrea to put her hand up by his chin-- but it is perfect for this shot!

Stephanie and Billy's engagement

Stephanie and Billy are getting married in October of this year. When we went to set up our first meeting, we discovered that we live a couple miles from eachother and that our daughters go to the same high school. We went to Scottsdale Civic Center for their engagement shoot; I know the place very well. I am mentioning this for all the future brides out there: whomever your wedding photographer is going to be, do an engagement shoot with them. Engagement shoots allow for you and your photographer to get to know eachother, which will make a huge difference in your wedding photos. If your photographer knows you a bit, they can connect with you emotionally and your photos will be more amazing for it.

Stephanie and Billy were so nice to hang out with. October will be here before we know it, and we will be totally ready for their big day!
