This was Mary Sandy's wedding (I was second shooter), so a big thank you to Mary for choosing me to go along on a fun destination wedding! And thank you to Gina and Erick for including me as well-- they were so welcoming and accomodating, gracious hosts!

Destination, Tahoe!
This was my first time ever to Lake Tahoe. I had no idea of what to expect, except that everyone said "It's so beautiful there!" Well it was beautiful, the scenery and the weather. I had hoped that the ceremony would be actually near the lake. But after seeing the crowds of people on the beaches (we saw numerous private beaches), I can see why the garden setting was a good idea. Right before the wedding started, a huge thunderstorm cloud rolled in and covered the sun. This gave us great shade and lighting for the ceremony. During the first kiss, thunder boomed! We had a drizzle at the end of the formals session, but other than that, the rain never really came.

Solana Beach or bust!
We went for a short but great stay in Solana Beach, north of San Diego, this past week. We were on the beach all three days, digging, swimming, walking, and relaxing. We love the beach, which means us living in Arizona makes no sense?! At least it is only 6 hours drive from Peoria! We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott which is walking distance to the beach. Really nice hotel, but don't have breakfast included (their breakfast at the hotel is mediocre.) One restaurant that we did really like was the Pacific Coast Grill. The food was really good and they made a mean sangria (for me) and my husband liked the supreme margarita. The high all week was 68, and it actually got a little cold on the beach the middle day. Sooo hard to come back to 113 degrees after temps like that! Solana Beach was great-- a well needed rest! Half of these were taken with my phone and half with my Canon gear...

100th Blog Posting
I just noticed that this is my 100th blog entry. How exciting!
I was going to do a regular post of my son when I noticed I had 99 entries. I am still going to blog my son's photos. My daughter has been blogged numerous times; it is Tyler's turn finally!
I shot these at the end of April and never posted any. Must have gotten busy. We took these because his grandma (my mother-in-law) needed current photos of the grandkids to take on her trip to Okinawa to visit our families there. We did this shoot in under 30 minutes, because that is all an 8 year old will give his mom! Tyler gave me a ton of expressions (especially silly ones!) World, here is Tyler!

Jess
This is a senior shoot I did in mid May. I just received her order for prints, and realized I had never blogged it. My favorite is the black and white of her doing her artwork and looking up at me (her name and the year are in red on that one.)
