This past 10/10/10, I went to Puerto Penasaco (Rocky Point) to photograph a beach wedding. On the 11th, we did a 'trash the dress' session in the surf. 'Trash the dress' just means to get the dress dirty and shoot it where you wouldn't normally see a dress-- someplace fun, different, and possibly dirty. But the dress needs to be cleaned after any wedding anyways. We don't actually hurt the dress. We had a blast-- the bride and groom laid in the water, and so did I. Had to be cautious of the waves and sand verses camera. But equipment is fine, and we had such a good time. It was like a high fashion magazine ad. Here are a few. Post more in the days to come!

Trilogy, Stormed by Love
On Saturday October 2nd, I photographed the wedding of Kelly and Kevin. The ceremony was at the Hope Covenant Church. The ceremony was neat because they included their son Kendrik. The reception was at Trilogy Golf Club. We did some of the formals at the church and some at Trilogy on the golf course. We could see a dust storm coming in while we were shooting, but we figured it was 20 minutes or more away. Within 10 minutes it hit us. We still wanted to do another 10 minutes of formals, but we had no choice but to stop and head inside in a hurry. Congrats to Kelly and Kevin! It poured on the way home from the reception-- rain is suppose to be good luck on your wedding day!

September 25th...
This is a wedding that I did last Saturday with Leanna of Photos by Leanna. I was her second shooter. It was a wedding filled with many obstacles, such as the heat, resort under construction, and many more. We made it though and I think the images turned out fantastic. In fact, this is the first wedding with my new camera, the Canon 5D Mark II. Here are a few shots that tell the story of the good parts of the day...
