Lindsay and Austtin

I am almost done editing my November 5th wedding. Here is a sneak peek, mainly for the bride and groom, Lindsay and Austtin. The day went smoothly, was fun and beautiful, if we forget about the little holes in the putting green... My apprentice, Andrew, worked this wedding with me. The last few images on the blog are his-- he has a great timing! I didn't do many images in black and white because everything looked so perfect in color.

Congratulations to Lindsay and Austtin-- it was a pleasure spending your day with you both!

This next image is a rose left on a chair that remained empty, where the bride's mom would have sat, in her memory. Very nice sentiment.
Another ceremony shooting into the sun-- seems to be a trend.

Our groom and bride with officiant, Larry James. He is always a joy to work with!
Isn't the flower girl adorable in this next one?

The rest were taken by Andrew, my apprentice.

Ancala Country Club...

Here are a few from my October 30th wedding, second shooting for Leanna of Photography by Leanna. It was at the beautiful Ancala Country Club in Scottsdale. One recommendation that I have that this wedding makes me think of: time your ceremony to be at a time of day when the sun isn't in all your guests eyes! Not to mention us photographers trying to shoot directly into the sun-- made it work, but could have been so much better a few hours later or earlier. I will gladly help a bride plan the best time for the ceremony-- just need the date and location.

Have I mentioned how I enjoy shooting with Leanna?

This next one is my favorite of the day...

Corina

Corina is the daughter of a good friend of mine, Rita. Rita is a fabulous florist, and that is how we met, through weddings. Corina and Rita really wanted to shoot at The Pointe Tapatio Cliffs Resort. We decided a Sunday morning would work best, less people out, and hopefully no 'Gestapo'. At most resorts now, you need permission to shoot there, or security will kick you out. We ended up with our appointment on Halloween. Well, that morning we were very lucky, and we only ran into a handful of people and no security.

Corina is on the swim team, and also the Editor in Chief of the yearbook. And she is also talented at smiling and spinning at the same time, as you will see below...

I think this next one is my favorite from our shoot...such natural beauty!
